Kristen, I don't know that you need much help after looking thru your portfolio. You have a very good eye for what makes a great photo and you have actually inspired me to put up a image (Peaceful Lake) which, had it not been for your image would of most likely never been displayed. I shot perhaps 125 images this afternoon and I do a lot of bracketing (mostly I shot in manual mode and give my thumb a workout on the little wheels ;-) and take perhaps 4 to 8 shots of each scene. You keep up the shooting and try a different thing or two each time you go out and soon you'll be getting tons of comments and I bet some awards too. You're a very nice person and a pretty darn good photographer too! Regards, Dwight
Hiya Dwight - yep, you're right, they didn't catch any fish, but I'm glad they were there. You know it was funny, I was going to take my tripod and decided against it. I am going to print off your comment, so I can try exactly as you say... will let you know how I go... Thankyou for helping me... I really appreciate it.
Well, I don't know if they got a keeper, but you certainly did! Colors and detail are very good, even the bobber floating on the water. Next time if you get a chance and have a tripod, try shooting this at say a 1/15th of a second in shutter priority mode and do several shots bracketing the shutter speed (1/10, 1/13, 1/15, 1/20, 1/25) to get a creamy smooth texture to the water with nice reflections. The people should still be reasonable sharp unless very active. Dwight
