Oh yes, he is! I wonder sometimes how a single person can have so many ideas that are all good at the same time.

Reminded me a lot of 'Sunset Blvd'... that Billy Wilder is one heck of a director, don't you think ?

...and we are in the cast!

You managed to get the absolute atmosphere of the stage (or backstage? or both?) but in an unexpected way! Instead of using the stage itself as your subject you just concentrated on some detail of it - but a details that is almost immediately recognizable as a part of the stage. And thus the spectator "mentally constructs" the rest of the stage around that detail in a suggestive way, that fits very well the suggestive power of the statement "All the world's a stage".

The transition of sharp focus at the upper lamp to more and more soft focus as we proceed to the depth gives a good sense of the spatial distribution of the lamps. Still, perhaps geeting more of them in the DoF (or all of them?) could result into a stronger image. On the other hand, this way the image resembles and suggests very strongly the defocused sight of some actor him/herself when looking at something but not really seeing anything of that "outer" world, while thinking about how the role could be evolving soon.

Keep it up and all the best,

Nick

P.S.: I remember now the same line about that stage - rediscovered:

------
Everyone goes through changes
Looking to find the truth
Don't look at me for answers
Don't ask me, I don't know

How am I supposed to know
Hidden meanings that will never show
Fools and prophets from the past
Life's a stage and we're all in the cast
------
(I don't know - Blizzard of Oz - Ozzy 1980)

Now this one is balanced imo,and the abstractness is all encompassing (so to say),compared to no 2.Good use of contrast and diff focus.

I'm confused, Have-not sure if I understand, it seems both presentations in way are kind of mystic You should have just the statue instead of the abstractive view!!!

Actually this wasn't meant to be an abstract, it is my complete failure to convey what I tried. Maybe this one will serve the purpose better:

Thanks for your time and evaluation, dear friend.

Cheers !!

Hi Avi, in my opinion is to busy plus the high contrast
Adds more distraction to it! Of course abstracts can tolerate Effects and excuses but the most important is the synchronous link between those elements must have some balance to the optical view!
