The warm tone goes really well with the whole mood of the photograph, sunbeams included. You can still make out subtle details in the lower shadow portions which makes me wonder if it would be better to just burn it in. It can be called either way. The way the beams converge into the opening in the clouds gives it plenty of the illusion of depth. // I agree with your assessment of 'jungle curves.' In fact I did a lot of rotating and found the same possibilities you did. Each turn seemed to yield a whole different interpretation. Thank you for your comments and insight.

I agree with Monica, that, while it's a stunning image, it probably might "pop" more with some tampering with the levels.

The image in itself is very beautiful. But, as I stare at it in my monitor, I think it could be improved. I'd darken it a bit with photoshop levels. That enhances the light and makes it a bit more powerful. Anyway.. good shot!
