I appreciate your honest comment my friend, critics not always have to be positive... We all want to be better and I'll take note of this one. For f11, I have to admit this was not my first choice, but flashes were too strong for the little room, so I have to shoot it like that... for the rest you have to present your regrets to Helene as she loves this one ;)
thanks for being so direct with me, I really appreciate.

Excellent portrait my friend, I think the tight cropping is great always and so on a beautiful lady, excellent lighting support also even at the shadowed part of the face...something very importante for me.
Best regards!

Jac,

1 of the most detailed shots I have ever seen from you! Unfortunately the worst portrait I have ever seen...

1st of all I love the lack of PS because you don't need it, but the f/stop regarding the DOF is way off... :(

2nd of all f/11 is not for portrait work and you seem to use it on landscape, as well as portrait work? What's up with that? Is your damn camera stuck on f/11, or do you drink too much to change the settings?

3rd, I find that looking at the red lines in your models eyes is very unappealing, (too sharp) as well as the peach fuzz on her lips and face... What is wrong with you? She will kick your butt after seeing this 1...

I have been studying you work for some months now and this is the "Stuff", but you have to get the camera and lighting settings correct, from now on... ;)You can't just guess @ this stuff!

You’re getting too good to make these kinds of mistakes... I'm not being critical of you, but trying to make you the best of the best... ;)

All of my love to you and yours,

Marty

PS: Only a great friend could tell a friend this stuff and get away with it… hehehe

Beautiful. The tight framing and the eye contact work well. Good to see such natural skin tones and textures.

Hi Jacques,
I like how you have framed the shot. Great clarity in the eyes and good lighting.
Hope you are doing well.
Chris
