Marty,
Yes, I did use a red filter... I have a Cokin set of filters and the red one they have works great with the Konica IR film. Basic exposure is aroung F 5.6 @ 1/60. With IR you tend to overexpose and get very dense negatives. The Konica is not a TRUE IR film like Kodak, but it's not available in anything other than 35mm these days., The Konica has many of its qualities, Ilford also makes an extended red range B&W film that is fun. Ultimately, just burn some film and bracket your exposures if possible.
