Thank you for your comment Nicole.

This was taken in Masai Mara Game Reserve, which is one of the larger reserves in Kenya. This same reserve turns into the Serengeti as soon as you cross the border into Tanzania.

All the best,
Ed

Thank you for your comment Dalila.

Well it was a wonderful trip, so the least I can do is share it with everyone. I really wish you'd post more of your shot from your trip to Asia.

All the best,
Ed

Great, just great! I am in Africa a lot of times, amazes me still what wildlife they have! Love your shot, never got that close myself, hope to see more, Jen

Thank you for your comment Michele.

Hippos have very delicate skin, so it doesn't take much to scratch it up. It also makes them overly susceptible to sunburn, which is why they usually only come out of the water for long periods at night.

Thanks again for the encouragement, it is comments like yours that motivate me to shoot and post my best.

Although a lot of my images are of Africa, I am actually from and live on the East Coast of Canada so it is Super Sunday here at home too. And although I live on the East Coast, I am not a Patriots fan, and with my Steelers already out of the play-offs, I'm online posting pictures and viewing those of others.

All the best,
Ed

Hi Ed, You are so funny -- great title for this great shot - Ha!!

Poor baby looks all scrathed up on the bottom side -

I hope to encourage your images because the quality is super and what you shoot is very interesting--

BTW it is Super Bowl Day here in the US in-case you did not know so most people are not online but in-front of the TV-
Keep on shooting dear friend ,
regards,
Michele~
