Guy,

This beautiful female Snowy is a regular in the St. Isadore area every winter. It is well within their normal winter range. In the winter of 04/05 there was an irruption of Great Gray Owls due to a crash of the vole population up north, their main food. It also resulted in an unusually high number of Snowy Owls. I hope you are right about the early spring. This has been one miserable winter!

Great shot(s) Todd! Are the Snowy's back down this far again this winter? Last time (2005) they were down around here we they had a bad winter up north and we ended up with an early spring. Let's only ope so!!
