Yeah, timeless, if it wasn't for his shirt.

Thank you for stopping by, Jessie.

very interesting, I should probably look for the Powaqqatsi film.
As for the conflict between traditional and modern ways, I see that every single day around me represented in the conflict between the young generation and the older one.
You know, unfortunantly, some of the old crafts around here are extinct, or on their way to be extinct. Those old crafts are normally passed over to the younger generations. However, youngsters nowadays have adapted themselves with modern lifestyles and abandoned their ancestors' crafts.

* Look what have you done, Dan. You made me go on and on about old crafts while all I wanted to say was a simple "thank you"

Thanks for passing by, Dan. :)

The Qatsi trilogy is an informal name given to a series of three films produced by Godfrey Reggio and scored by Philip Glass:
* Koyaanisqatsi: Life out of balance (1983)
* Powaqqatsi: Life in transformation (1988)
* Naqoyqatsi: Life as war (2002)
The titles of all three films are words from the language of the Hopi people, in which the word "qatsi" means "life."

Powaqqatsi is a Hopi word meaning "parasitic way of life" or "life in transition". While Koyaanisqatsi focused on modern life in industrial countries, Powaqqatsi, which similarly has no dialogue, focuses more on the conflict in third world countries between traditional ways of life and the new ways of life introduced with industrialization.

This image has the "Powaqqatsi" spirit inside! (Powaqqatsi is a must see movie). Great picture!
