answering Sarah... This shot was taken like the previous one "waiting" where the camera was hanged by the strap on my chest... just imagining the composition and pressing the shutter, wishing the subject will be in frame... some people, espcially the older ones, sometimes get intimitaded by photographers, trying to invade their peaceful world, and hate that... this is why I wanted to capture the incridible man's expression without really bothering him.
As for the composition... I feel that (even though it wasn't planned) that the black of the foreground, enhnaces the expression here, it gives it somekind of the "roots" feeling... of someone who have been wondering the earth for decads and decades... May be it is not the usual composition, by putting him on the left thrid on a landscape format... giving his gaze the wide room on the other two thirds... but as I go in my learning process I try different things.. different ways to capture the expression I find in a new (or at least I try it to be) way.
