Then I congratulate you for this achievement, which was only to be expected by such a quality of photographic work! I must suggest it to many many people here for taking a look and a good lesson in photography!
About the crowd... well yes, most of the time the guys have toi stand exactly where you don't want to have them. Almost a conspiration! ;-) But perhaps also some few images taken from some distance with a wider angle could bring that special atmosphere of Venice? There must be some way to turn this disadvantage to a benefit, or isn't there any?
Cheers!

Yes, that's about. Really appreciated comment and about the more space at the top of the statue: no chance to get this image differently because of the crowd...you know...Venice is never without people:-))) Ciao, regards.

A very impressive shot that makes the view of the place so vivid and strong, Alfonso&Daniela! The angle and the composition are really exceptionally strong, and the lighting boosts the strength to unimaginable degrees! This is such a good composition with depth and distance that I would really take is as a good example against the many too many flat images of similar subjects. Only small wish, perhaps a bit more distance from the head of the sculpture to the top of the image.
The exposire balance took some details way from the shadows at the background but for that it also made the statue in the front completely tangible in its plasticity. I'd prefer a bit of harder contrast on it, but we are here alread in the region of personal taste.
Excellent work, and I don't use such characterisations so often!
Cheers!
