And still the composition lacks something and the lighting is very "hazy". But I don't know what exactly should be different, and so I keep on waiting for some idea.

They are indeed metal rods for supporting the arcs and the gallery, Linda, but the color of the wall is simply that red of the used bricks. And that color played a big role when I was shooting that since it really made it look historical, mediecal, something of the past.
But again I find the composition "half". And there's again that kind of haze over some parts - perhaps overexposure.
So I must thank you for the very generous comment.

I don't know why but it makes me think of India and Elephants! Good light and depth to show the details, very good focus throughtout...is it rust? Metal rods in the concrete...well captured Nick! :))
