Thanks a lot for your thorough analysis, Visar, that does make many things compehensible to me about this one. I am especially grateful to you since many times I have my difficulties to put down to words the way some of my images works.
This kind of tomes was predominant in many places in Milano, and I guess that they contribute a lot to that look and feel of the nice streets around. As the bikes also do - especially when they will simply pass any kind of traffic sign. ;-)
Cheers!
Nick

the little detail of the decorated column on the left of the great composition, has a major significance for me. It hides and yet gives some sort of reference that the curved form/ situation of the building on the right is proportionally set with the oposite building which we do not see- thus it leaves it up to our imagination to build it up, and know that that must be a beautiful curved road.
the tones are superb- full stop.
then there's a lot of referneces, i would say of an italian town (or an italinan ambassy for those that are not familiar italian cities)- the flag on the left, a fiat vehicle, and a bike which is majorly used in italia, an accidental pedestrian and other detail- but one that i like the most, si the sign which forbids cars to enter! i like that, it is as if not wishing anything to pass by and destroy this beautiful part of town (here where i come from, even military machines pass by town and not care much).
i do like this travel photo a lot Nick.
cheers, v.

Nice composition here, Nick! I think the lone pedestrian adds a lot of interest, and I like the way you've captured the curve of the street. Dave.
