What a distinct shot here, Ben! The contrast is so extreme that it should almost "hurt" - in the pure technical sence! But it doesn't! Quite the contrary, it supplies such an amount of that documentry look and feel that you can find in the pages of national geographic, when they report about places and people.
Your excellent timing in combination with the separation of the main subject to the background through pure lighting is amazing here! It is only the different lighting that makes the two of them so different to the rest of the scene!
A great example of how to use the natural separating power of light. I wish I could see more of this kind in UF!
