This shot was done early in the morning when I was experimenting with low light IR photography. I also had a small problem with the intensity of my monitor on the computer. Really too dark to be a conventional IR shot, and the similarity with the barn I shot today is purely accidental. Thanks for the comment and question Michael. Anson

Shot at night?
Nice use of colors to separate the gate and fence from the vegetation. The eye going from the gate then to the continuation of the fence towards the right is what makes the shot for me.
Love your work Anson...mlm

It is a magical sight, it feels like a nice place to go and relax, like a gate to a different world. IR I think makes this mood or feeling

See my comment above to Dan about my son's garden ouside of Atlanta, Julie. And it is very romantic, especially early in the morning when the light is subdued. I just had to try IR on this one. Still don't know what shrubs and trees he used to frame this gate. Back in FL now after a refreshing 2 weeks in the mountains. I think I will be printing this one up for him to hang somewhere. Lots of hugs my friend. Anso

Thanks Dan. This shot was taken 2 days ago at my sons home just outside of Atlanta. For a kid who avoided cutting the grass, using every trick possible, he has turned into a master gardner, and spent much time designing and making this "garden gate", a portal into a very primative but beautiful part of his yard. I just had to try an IR on it; I like the colors too. Anson
