Thanks for the comment. I didnt actually have a choice as to where the plane was. It just went by. I was lucky it got near the moon at all...:)

No double exposure. Just full 640mm pointed towards the moon while the plane flew past it.

"blurry" doesnt help me very much... Just wondering how you would do.. handholding a 640mm lens.
On the point of sharpness: I uploaded it, had a look at it and immediately saw it needed UM.. I think its a shame I didnt apply it...

Nice idea but very difficult to time just right. I think if you had caught this a fraction of a secon earlier the composition would have worked better, with the plane entering the shot, rather than heading out of it. A tweak on the contrast and applying unsharp mask would boost this shot too.
