Thank you very much for your comment. Yes I also thought there was a bit of noise and have adjusted my camera.
I like your B&W of the puppy best and the Macro of the first Hibicus you posted, especialy the angle.
Your other Macros are also very good.

Mr. Van Der Welt, you've captured the three c's; composition, clarity, color with perfection. I'm also using a Panasonic DMC-FX8 and have enjoyed your portfolio. It's a nice little camera, with some limitations but you have done very well with it. I would use a little noise reduction software: not much just a tad. Congrats.

Very welcome. Well I was saying that the structure in the floral still exists even though I can see the rough shadow. Under these circumstances it is not easy to get good result by not overexposing.
But what do you mean by overcast!? Never heard of it, or maybe under a different word.
