Shooting RAW mode helps tremendously with subtle tones.

Excellent landscape photo Allen !! One can clearly notice the different terraces leading up the valley towards the mountains .. this must be created by different stages in the proces of the river cutting in the land .. (ps i'm a geographer, so ..)
