Avi, only being able to marry that mud with the sunset we *will* be able to turn things better. Just because we *are* all here, in those dusty streets, looking for something good, of which we also know we may never perfextly find. But the search *is* worth it, damn it! Just as my neighbors are, that get on my nerves when the party on my sleep time. ;-)
This image turned me upsidedown, for it is what I am, you know. No pretending, no lies, just *me*!!! Living in such a trembling, dirty, pulsing, but also fundamentally human, so very human city!!!

Wow! And you know I don't use that expression so often!!
Now, *this* is my image for having everything I find good in photography! City atmosphere, perspective, impact, depth - and last but not least that humid view that constinues down the avenue to who knows where! Yes, it's the city and it doesn't even care to look "happy for the naive"! It's a hard but at the same place extremely human place - human in the sense of carrying all results of *all* human activity and not only some idealized paradise that never was! I wish I could walk down that avenue and mee some guys for a drink or two!
The sense of claustrophoby is only apparently available here! Actually more the sense of being there, in the car, pretected from the rain but still a part of that place!
The coloring enhanced everything considering the mood and the atmosphere. It also brought something of the cop-movie of the seventies, and I say that because those cops were much more real to me. (Nowadays they are almost always "heroes" and "angels" or "devlish" and bad" - but nothing inbetween. ;-))
I wish I could hang it on my walls as a huge, I mean real huge poster! Hat off!

landscape chara amake onno kichu ekdom e attract kore nah and i tend to do things which comes naturally to me...i am very much drawn to colors and nature since childhood, probably because of a little bit of painting I used to do since then ...i know there are millions and millions of landscapers out there and probably the image i take has been shot several million number of times but in spite of that I will choose to take the same picture myself since I want to represent the beauty it in my own...not too much bothered about type casting...David Gilmour kintu 99% gaan e same notes bagieyeche but its never monotonous...if he had played different notes tahole oor identity thakto nah for sure...protek photography genre er endless possibility thake and in a lifetime its not possible to master each and every, in fact one should not...the only genre i will and probably try is pure wildlife...

yes, even I was a bit unsure about the white balance. I didn't shoot in RAW, used the in-camera WB of 'Cloudy', which left the bluish-green tint. At first I thought I would change everything to monochrome except the cab (something like what Deb did in his shot), but then thought against it. Somehow this picture gives me the feeling that looking at it 10 yrs from now, I will remember.. hope I make sense.. :)

like the perspective, the drops, the yellow cab, everything but the "white balance" that seems to be fooled, but in the end the coss-processed like tint is also very nice and cool, actually I have several pictures in that way

Ar ekta request: tui landscape eto bhalo tulish, chhobir technical aspects eto bhalo bujhish, tui keno onnyanno genres try korchhish na ? I am urging you to try different things. Landscape tor prem, that is fine, sheta theke shore aste bolchhi na, kintu onnyanno chhobi-o tol. Noile type casted and ek gheye hoye jabe. Something like Satyajit Ray's music. Mind it, by itself, the music is very good, but when you hear the same type of chords in every music he has given, you don't feel so good.

Like the perspective. I was in Manhattan last year from Montana and boy oh boy, what a culture shock. Whole new look at life in New York. Stayed in the New Yorker Hotel by Madison Square Gardens. Went to Book Expo and did some serious walking. Like the lights, raindrops and big skyline in the capture. Your street work is great. Always enjoy your work.
