Ah, good question, Marina. My high contrast and hard shadows were created at night on location with a single light.
I had a softbox camera left (see attached light plot) and lacking any fill light or reflection from the right side, the shadows are quite deep.
I began working her pose frist by placing her feet and knees, then having her rotate her right shoulder toward the door behind her, and then throwing her shoulder back, to cast more light on her chest and neck. Finally, I had her slowly rotate her face so the horizon was centered.
I don't have an idea for existing courses off the top of my head, Marina, but I would urge you to join Texas Photo Forum at www.texasphotoforum.com where there are regular get-togethers and photo sessions.
I hope this helped somewhat.
Paul

In this one, I like how you played with light. I wonder have you just used the light-shadow environment, or you created one?
I think, some education about the basics of photography (if the time allows me...) would benefit me. Any suggestion about an existing Course in Texas?

This is a cool crop, Igor. The door supports all converge on the 1/3 line next to her, but this crop eliminates the hard shadow on her face, which then reduces the overall contrast range.
I did have to think about it for a while, though. Thanks for another nice suggestion, Igor. This kind of conversation is so much more useful to photographers struggling to get better (like me).

Hello again! Tnx for accepting the idea... But would you consider to push the limit a little bit more... ...and make the photo more intrigant? Let the person who will watch the photo, ask yourself: "What's on the right side...?"
Anyway very nice model and picture.
All the best, Igor
