About Monsoon season is back in NM but it has been nothing as spectacular as last summer. Rest assured, though, I am still trying to chase storms.

This is one of the bigger storms so far, shot on July 24th. 4600 shots resulted in about 20 captures!

LOL, Michele... don't worry about it... they really do have a slight orange cast to them.... may have been atmospheric or my white balance setting.... :)

You're saved.

Believe me Dave I have 'NO' pink colored glasses on but my monitor does definetly have a pink tone to the lightening - not bright - but a muted pinish tone - is it really that far off- (?)
I am serious because if this monitor is going off I will really be mad ! Please let me know Ok ?

Thanks, Bernar! We are just going to have to get you to start experimenting with lightning, that's all there is to it.

Thanks, Debjit...

PS: did make it to SoCal last weekend but didn't go north like I wanted to. Cut it short and went back through the Grand Canyon/Monument Valley instead. I just can't get hyped about shooting in L.A.

Thanks, Dave! Nothing finer than sitting in an open field during a lightning storm!

Hi Dave,
Nice to see you here again. I hope you are well.

Outstanding capture, as always. Rays are my unresolved matter. Perhaps one day...

Best wishes.

You must have incredible patience, but once again, it's paid off. You can feel the intensity just by looking at it.
Regards, Gary

Cool shot, Dave! Amazig clarity on those lightning bolts. I'd say well worth the 4600 shots just to get this one! Cheers, Gary

Whoa, that is spectacular! (even if, as you say, not as spectacular as last summer). Why do I say that? Because I don't think I have ever before seen a shot of a bolt so clearly visible in front of the landscape. That bolt on the right is amazing. (4600 shots? Puts my heavy sessions to shame...)

Well done lightning shot, Dave! You did well to have the patience to stick with it!
Dave.
