Sono rimasto a bocca aperta ad ammirare questa foto.
L'unica cosa che mi dispiace e non vedere nessun award sotto.....per adesso.
Complimenti Maestro.

A beautiful shot, Giuliano! Excellent tones and composition. We missed seeing La Fenice on a brief visit to Venice, but next time will see it for sure. Thanks for bringing this to us!
Dave.

La Fenice ritornata agli antichi splendori... Ottimo punto di vista, bellissimo il movimento delle persone che si stagliano sullo sfondo. Ottime le tonalita'...

Nice to see you, too!

Let me explain my comment. I knew you would use a tripod if you could, but sometimes they are forbidden, and you would not be the first to prop up the camera on a seat or somewhere (I've done it myself!). I know how amazingly sharp that wonderful Biogon 38mm lens is, and if they were cheaper I would have one... sometimes it is unkind to women whose skin is not perfect. I guess the problem was sharpening not optimized for the Usefilm 850 x 850 pixel limit. I used to use Tri-X with ID11! Now I only use a digital darkroom.

Hello Roger,
nice to see you :)
I used the tripod and I can assure you that it's very sharp (too much sometime ;) ) The film and the development are not probably the best combination (TXP320 + a "ID11 like"). The film is a little bit underdeveloped (1 min. more was better) and grainy so there's less contrast than what I expected.
Just for my memo I did 1 min. pre soak, 8:30 min development.

Bye

GG

Aha! The great 38mm Biogon! Wonderful use you have made of it here. It doesn't look quite as sharp as I would have expected. Did they refuse to let you use a tripod?
