i agree with the comments about the sky, but i think i still prefer this version for the balance of purple colors, the position of the creek, and the reflections on grass and water... nice.

Really nice composition which is let down a bit by the bright sky. might look better with the top half cropped out imho. still very pleasing though

Hello Amy, thanks for your comment on The Lonely Egret. I made up the name Bayou Self (Kind of a joke for "By Your Self". By the way nice shot of Cane Creek with good perspective. I like the way the trees form a tunnel for the creek. I think this image could be improved if taken in a different light. Maybe early morning or late afternoon. Good Luck!

Wonderful color and composition. I think the image could be a tad bit sharper but I like the way it looks. You could also burn in the top part of the image a bit as the lighting is a bit hot there.
Nice shot overall!
