About As most of you know, I am working on the roof at the Loy-Wood place. New shingles and such. And it has been hot... VERY hot in these parts. But that has nothing to do with this post... well, the heat has nothing to do with the post. So, I was up on the roof (7 meters and such) and I was empty, void... ran out of roofing nails. So I clambered down and went into the garage... and I rummaged about a bit and found some nails in an old strawberry pint box. Made of thin wood/veneer... and as I was picking through the stuff in that box out slid the bracelet... Eli (Elizabeth, our daughter) sat down one day of her early life and crafted the bracelet. How, after 15 years, I found it in a strawberry box filled with hinges and roofing nails... I'll never be able to explain. It tumbled and snaked out into my left hand... a bracelet from Eli... 15 years on. Not knowing better... I took a few pics. My point is this: How and why do things stop and hold and 'pop' from one or 2 or three generations to the present? Why was that bracelet in the box of roofing nails... and what other wonders are lying about waiting to be re-discovered?

yeah... what I wonder most is what happened to all my tools.. Eliot (youngest) used to build "bases" around the paddocks.. stashes of stuff batteries guns food parcels cases to carry it all in.. survival stuff in his (then) ever present determination to fight off and eliminate the adversary.. only recently during the excavation for the paving under the new pergola I found the remnants of a plastic gun... I, didnt photograph it.
