Thanks, John... you are close, this was the next one east, Navajo Point... and I spent a couple hours waiting for this shot, too. This is also where I shot the lightning shot. So you can see the always changing light during my time I spent there.
Of course, I am sure I didn't do half as well as those shooting with their trusty cell phone cameras with flash. LOL

Thanks, Gary. At first, I was very disappointed in a mostly cloudy day... but then decided to work with the light. And it seemed to change nearly every minute, which really slows you down because you can't help but shooting the same scene over and over as the light changes.

Looks like the motherships coming down to land. This shot would have been awfully easy to botch with all that light flying around the lens, but the master of the desert has it all under control.
