my take on fashion photography is that it needs to have the stopping power of a .44 magnum. this picture features the garment well, and is interestingly framed, but i don't think it would compete well in, say, vogue or interview. maybe more extreme lighting. some motion blur. multiple exposures. show more skin, maybe, but i think what you're doing here with minimal skin is more interesting than a lot of the t&a fashion stuff i see. props are also the rage, and staged pictures. guy i watch is steven meisel. unbelievable. his pictorials in the last few issues of vogue are some of the best ever. by the way, now that herb ritz is dead, there's space for you at the top ;) keep at it, man.
