About The start of another series, named "Natural shapes". I started shooting theses images a long while ago and still continue with them, though in a much slower rate than some years ago. On many of those images, if not on all, the term "natural" is only personal. On this one for example the red sitting bank was of course not "natural" at all, but the shapes and forms of the rain drops are natural enough for me. Many of theses images will surely be naive, or boring, or even quite dilletantic to you. Then please say what you find bad and help me get better.

On this one I tried very narrow DoF so that only the drops in the center are in sharper focus. The uniform coloring seems to work, but I would be very glad to hear about the problems of this one.

Thanks onnce more, Omid, or Aziz, for the nice comment.

About abstracts and their dependence on what the photographer wanted to do, I just wanted to have nice fresh clear water drops on red. This way the abstract would win much. But as Harry said the reflections got overburned and so the image is lost some good part of what it could have otherwise. The term "abstract" is not necessarily an explanation for less than absolute quality.

Cheers!

Great!

Let all *%&*£$! travel through the net, Harry!

Cheers!

Abstracts follow different rules !
Almost evrything depends on the opinion and objective of the photographer !
I found no problem on this abstract ! because I believe the above sentence !
Best wishes

OK, well more *^&*( and (&()*)& to come ;-)

Your new version has only slight differences but its about the message. You got it, now use it.

Have you seen

You are neither *(&(* nor *%&£! nor whatever else my keyboard might produce, Harry! There is nothing to excuse at all! Quite the contrary: At last! Some real input here and I am so glad for that, since one main reason for posting this series is exactly that! Input!

So, let's get some work done. Trying to somehow "simulate" your advice, I burned the highlights a bit. It really seems to get better (attachment) though it can't of course reach the look of a correct exposure. But now I know at least a bit more about that for the next time I'll be trying something similar.

Thanks a lot! And more of that please!

Dodged the highlightes a bit after Harry's idea

If I only knew what its problems are! It looks... sigh!

Anyway, thank you very much, Aziz!

Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Mohsen!

Well, I find it OK too but... as with most images of the series I have my doubts about it. Too imperfect for my eyes and I can't say what the problems are.

Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Aykaan!

The "evolution", however, is not the sequence of postings. This series has been what I was doing many years ago. It is not what I turned to after the previously posted images.

If there is some evolution visible then only *inside* each individual series, but not over the different series I post. So, I do hope that some evolution will be visible too while I post the images of this series.

Cheers!

I can be a *(&(* sometimes, forgive me, but the highlights are over exposed. A shot at EV-2 and a gamma correction would improve it. I mean it positive.
