Ooooo! How very metaphysical! I can feel my spleen moving into my left kidney whenever I view this. It brings forth the deepest, richest sensations of... of... of... bile in the back of my throat. You've really captured that sensation here, man!

Eric, I think even an abstract has to inform on some level. Here, I am confused about how I am supposed to be moved. Generally speaking, I think ONE sharp area for the eye to land on and get some relief is good. If there is no area of sharpness, it could still serve as a background illustration in a magazine with type over it. But as a stand-alone image it needs more. (I made a comment in my Under the Pier which may answer your questions about the exposure.)

Well I'm going to choose to take Steve's comment as a compliment dammit. This might not be to everyone's taste but I'm enjoying the movement and richness. Keep experimenting.

I second Bob's nomination. You are now secretary of the club.

pretty odd. i hate the darkness and lack of detail in the lower left corner. the curving lines are quite cool.

The horizon needs straightening, Eric. But I like your use of distimation; very insegrious!

I don't know who Morgan Smith is or was, but this looks like something Alisa would try to pass off as an "abstract".

Although Mondo and Z see something, I don't, but that's not a bad thing.

I'm looking at this photo after several bottles of wine and I can see a message from Elvis. It's saying...."Eric don't give up your day job"......"I'm All Shook Up"....

For some reason I am struggling to make visual sense out of this rather than just appreciate it for what it is. The light play and tones are appealing, but I can't find a 'hook' to view it more intelligently. I applaud the exploration beyond your norm, though, so don't stop!!

I like the blue/orange contrast...but not really sure what else there is.

Eric, this is way Morgan Smithlike, but much more colorful, and you don't have the telltale 75% black darkness thing around your subject.

Only think I see wrong is a small dustlike particle in the center left of the image, although that could be part of the art too, for all I know... {;-)

Neato Nifty shot!

I like the tones... I can't say that I'm getting much out of this one Eric.
