I looked at this and thought it might be part of a burnt tree.
It must be my eyes are going...
Ha ha!
As others may see what they see, I clearly see the look of an aardvark with his nose to the ground.
Left is right hind leg, middle is right front leg and to the right is his huge neck, head and nose.
This is a fun image as you well know from the responses.

For what it's worth, reading your Bio............ I have never heard of Meotsu............ I was thinking you made it up. ;)
I've lived in Coos Bay all of my 52 years and Meotsu is a place I cannot recall ever hearing of. I guess I never travel north of here much.]...too many people. ;)
It's a beautiful coastline from end to end tho, isn't it?

Am I getting off track?
Nice image quite obviously.

Hello my dearest shadi - This is not a sad picture - the tree had already died for some reason and it is common for people to have camp fires on the beach- the shape of this tree was a natural camp fire - ready for roasting marshmellows and hot dogs - and sitting around telling stories :)) It is also a lumber state I live in - so cutting trees is also to a source of in-come , and to prevent fires ..... I hope this helps explain a little to you -
Here I will send you an image full of tree's -:))

Earth Still full Of Tree's

Paul de Beukelaar Paul de Beukelaar   {K:26449} 9/15/2008
Hi Michele, Is this trunk a disposal camp fire? I mean just a souvenir before burning it to ash ? Aiii. It is a prehistoric fossil, some sort of rare reptile, precisely a Tyrannosaurus Carlsen Oregonnus. Normally these stay for hundreds of million years waiting until discovery by curious and passionate scientists. Why you burned this treasure considering it as just a camp barbecue ? :-)
At least I'm glad that you still made a picture of it, saving this as memorial to our rich natural heritage.
hugs and kisses from Paul

I'm agree with the others Michele.
Look like an elephant legs according
the details similar to the skin but
according the shape I see really,
with a bit of imagination,
a tapir or an anteater. ;-)

Have a nice sunday,
Tommaso
