Thanks AJ, the blue and white were in camera, but I pumped up the red to accent the shadow lines. Thanks for the comment and have a great week, like your portfolio, will be back again. Be well, Stan

Hi James, As I builder over the last 40 years, any house with this type of applied trim I have referred to as a Ginger Bread house. This was a popular detail in the late 1800' and early 1900's. I am not sure of the correct architectural name but Gionger Bread works for me. Thanks for your interest and nice comments. Be well and shoot well, Stan

Having just read all comments again, it seems the title refers to the style of house.

its definitely a nice abstract-like image. I dont know the meaning of the title though...? Looks like a small countryside home...
Nice work ~ Best wishes ~ James

Thanks so much Sonny, actually you are the first to make that observation of the outward reach of my captures. I was using a new to me prime for this shot and was focused on the shadow under the wood ginger bread. I was trying to make a symmetric shot with camera to avoid cropping. I popped the colors a little in PS but the clarity came from the lens. Only thing missing was the "pink". Lucky you!! Be well and thanks again, Stan

i like your work very much..has anyone noticed that a lot of your photos are of items that point outward, like roof tops ,flowers , the rock formations, the wagon wheels ..it caught my eye when i looked at your gallery as a whole..anyway i like the crisp colors in this shot very much..

Hi Dave, funny that you liked the shadow, that was what caught my eye as well. I saw the shadow on the gable and thought it was twice as much Ginger Bread for the price. Thanks for the input and the friendship! Be well, Stan

I start to learn who Marty is, he is a real nice guy trying to get the best out of life, but I feel he had enough portions of 'bad times' and this is his way of coping. I see him as a friend ! Be well

Thanks Harry, this little town had some very nice older houses with some great details. Go easy on Marty, I am just waiting for him to read his Bronica book before the big showdown! Glad you liked my effort on this. I am a sucker for this old type of detail. Be well, Stan
