I definately think the colors are distracting from the emotion on the young girls faces. I prefer the bw version :P

Thanks Alain. I had intentionally kept *some* parts in dark.. like shades in human characters, I like (dark) shades in pitcures too :):)
cheers, Avi

Hello Avi,

nice one and made me smile. A bit dark perhaps but that could be due to my own screen.
Be well,

Alain

Avi, always when I do street shots had to be the right energy :) I guess everyone has a different motive but essentially all come down to a final presentation witch seems nothing more than what it is!!!!!I believe my latest streets shots also might have offend you too!!!

Interesting capture Avi, their pose and expression says it all.. I had a smile reading your about, does that mean txules gets the man at the corner of the frame..
regards..

Ok Avi, looks good.

It is difficult to cut something out of a shot that you are happy with.

I also like a 5x7 crop with the width of the grey door frame on the left included, as it left more room on the left and bottom (and of course including the man).

However, I think I became attached to the original frame size/crop.

So I did some dodging and burning. You have probably already considered that, but if not it's something you might play with. I'll post an example.

Hiya Jinggoy !
Thanks for your comment, my friend. See my cropped version that I attached to the reply to Kes. Somehow I don't like it so much after doing that though.. see for yourself.
cheers and have a great weekend !

Wow, you're certainly becoming a master in street photography.
I like how you captured the three subjects here. The two bored women and the guy on the right. My eye likes to move to the right to include more of the guy and less of the door to the left. I like the deep red paint.
Definitely very good timing!!!

Avi  Avi     {K:70138} 11/7/2008
Thanks Kes. I did all that on the left and bottom (see attached) but somehow the result doesn't look as good to me as I thought it would.. because it kind of reduces the gritty street feel somewhat. see for yourself.

about the guy on the right though, I am not letting him go at any cost - he is the pillar of my composition.. I aimed at voyeur.. that was the whole point of this !

cheers !!
Avi

Hi Avi! Great piece! Superb color, love the composition....

- discussion points - :)
agree with a bit of a crop on the left, to the grey door frame, getting rid of the shiny door handle, then tone down the confusing reflections and lights in the upper left area. This might give a bit more emphasis to the man on the right...which some might say to crop out but I like him there.

Avi  Avi     {K:70138} 11/6/2008
I was unsure of the steel doorframe.. so a crop at left and bottom is probably good. I agree.

I don't agree with the tight and darkness on the right though - for me, that was what made the compo.

thanks very much for the analysis !

well, I'd crop a bit at the bottom and at the left (hand view); probably it's a bit tight and dark on the right as well, perhaps some rework can improve it but overall is great....jd

Hi Luca, what appealed to me here was a scene with a titillating ad caption and a hint of voyeurism. :)

technically outstanding color management ... though a bit of blue tinge... but that went well with the mood. Use of wide is perfect out here.

But the story is little cliche in my mind...!!! assha kori kichu mone korbe na...:)

This is a very good street photo, dear Avi.
Sadness on their faces, as it can not be otherwise.
LEAVE NOTHING, complete the message.
Perfectly composed in its entirety ... the glass vacuum, the man who looks ...
Excellent, my friend.

hug,
Malules
