About	This is an early sighting of the Bald Eagle in-town, before the majestic oaks shed their fall foliage and the river freezes to make a fish meal an easy task, to have and to hold, right there on the icy shore of the Des Moines River.....These birds are the harbingers of the winter, just around the corner. The birds are here to stay until Spring time (March-April usually).
