You're absolutely correct Saad! I thought about it after I left my note- noticing the date back... The one we visited was something made by one of Persian Kings during the Prophet Mohammad's era and it is much older than this one! All the best, Mitra

thank you Mitra, with all due respect ,I don't think you have visited this site,I think you are talking about Taysafon, and that was in the middle of Iraq, this Ewan,is in Mosul, which is at the north of Iraq, and I am very aware that our brothers and sisters of neighboring Iran do visits to that city in the middle of Iraq ,just south of Baghdad called Al Madaen or as called locally Salman, the pure. my best regards, Saad.

Hi Saad. Beautiful abstract of this famous place's ruins. I have been to this place when I was a little girl with my parents & I remember mom telling me about its great history and the long beautiful poem that Aziz mentioned the first part of it.... I have great memories of my childhood visit to Iraq. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. All the best, Mitra

In Persian, .. " Han ey del e ebrat bin ,az dideh ebar kon , han ewan e Madaen ra aaeeneye ebrat dan ! " " هان ای دل عبرت بین از دیده عبر کن هان ایوان مدائن را آئینه عبرت دان " ... " Learn lessons of the bitter history of Ewan of Madaen, .. "

I really like the tones and the texture of this old arch. Very nice historical capture. Someone spent some time to create something like this to have so many years of service. Be well, stan
