Hmm, I see. That does make sense. No I don't want one too small. Sometime I will take picture of mine, like in the mirror, just for reference sake. I actually love the one I have. Perfect for me in so many ways. I wouldn't mind maybe even finding another one just like it, then use the one I have now to experiment with. I dunno. We'll see what tax time produces. Thanx for telling me that though. I would have never known that or thought about it that way.

Heavy is good... too small and compact has motion blurr issues. That's my personal opinion. The heavier the camera, the easier it is to steady.

I actually know nothing about cameras. I assume I would just go to Thompson Photos here in Knoxville & look at the ones they have & try to get some ideas. I've heard they are expensive there, but a friend told me about a place (although I can't think where now) that one can get for reasonable. I will take him with me at time of purchase & help me out with it. Digital, light weight, easy to use, can take a lot of photos, & NO #%^* battery issues (like the one I have now). That's about all I know to look for at this point. My neighbor showed me a really nice Canon he has. But it seemed so heavy, almost awkward.

I too have a film camera & a digital camera. Both are Olympus. I've had good results out of both & both are easy to use. Although it seems that the camera world is dominated by Nikon & Canon, over the weekend I was pleased to see that Olympus is still around. I saw one for sale at Best Buy. I am thinking after income tax time I will then research buying a new camera. My digital is finally getting a few bugs about it.

Thanks for being so open Jim. I had it also a few times but discovered it pretty soon bcse I missed the resistance on the 'next photo lever' .

I still enjoy my old SLR cameras, Keeping film in a few of them at a time and taking a accessional photo. Its always a pleasure have the photos developed when the roll is finally dome. But like you my primary now is my Digital :(

I love my X-700. But I have only used it once in the past 8 years... when my digital was broken. I took it to Chicago where MM and I met up with Paul Lara and his wife. I took 20 or 30 shots with the Minolta... before I realized I forgot to put film in it. Paul will verify this story... He didn't let me forget it the remainded of the night.

I still have my Minolta XG-M, used it 20 years, travelled with it around the globe 2 times, survived it all.
Great camera !
