Hi John,
What I like most of this image is the detailed pattern of bricks in the wall. You can read much of the manual selection and building process that has taken place. Imagine the labour putting this all to what it is today and probably for centuries. The two different gray scales show some sort of restoration had taken place as well. A fisherman at the foreground, a contemporary element, makes the scene to a vivid composition.
