Such a perspectivic distortion due to angle of view can dominate the image very strongly if we only keep contours but remove "space". In this one the darkness removed anything else than those contours. I think this is what makes it look like a flat ellipse rather, than like a circle as seen in 3D-space under some certain angle of view.

I like the image with that tilt and the great shapes. I like the black around it as well. Makes a sticking pattern, almost like puzzle pieces.
