About Red-tailed hawk (Buteo jamaicensis), the commonest of raptors we see in the midwestern USA. This juvenile turned its back on me, as if upset, after a motorist rudely interrupted its morning meal, a hunt of a rabbit almost its own size. See the picture I originally had below that I doctored-up to a symmetrical live form. Hope my critics don't mind this. What a magnificent bird indeed!? Yamil, Ken & Alessandro would agree with me, I hope!
