mate macro was never my bag.. I have close up filters which I use but with them I get no DOF.. whetehr a macro lens would deliver greater DOF I dont know.. but I suspect not a lot.. laws of optics pretty much determine that the closer on is to the object being photographed the less depth of field ... so I really dunno

Oh jeez! achingly beautiful observations Rog! Quickly Roger, if I bought one of them close up lenses could I get ridiculously narrow dof?

yeah.. I hear what you are saying Blake however I really liked the meshing together of the two forms. I am normally a high contrast printer but for this one I actually held back and let them blend. Thanks for the comment.

In terms of composition you have done a tremendous job; it's great how you have captured the very linear progression of the slats on the far wall as contrasted against the gentle swooping curves of the ceiling and buttresses. My one suggestion has to do with contrast; the contrasts I mentioned would be a lot more compelling if the photo was not so limited in tonal range. A higher contrast would really make the differences in shape, whereas now they tend more to feel collapsed.

Great tones and lines in this. I really like the varied shapes all colliding in the space you chose. Be well, Stan
