Great shot. Rich tones and nice detail. For me it would have been nicer if the people had not turned around to look at you. Anyway this is a good shot.

Hi again my friend. My trouble is that there is a 20 year old trapped inside this body of mine wondering what the hell went wrong . I have seen that you have invested in one of my old favourite Canon lenses, the 70-200L.....a fabulous lens. I only use the one lens these days, a good all rounder, as I can no longer cart lots of equipment around with me. The equipment that I have had over the years is quite amazing..... starting with two Leicas (111a and 111g) and 2 Rollieflexs all the way through to quite a long history of Canon equipment. I just love Canon lenses. Enjoy your photography my good friend, experiment all that you can and I will look forward to viewing your results. Very best wishes to you Dan, now I'm off to my bed.......Cheers.......Ray

Thanks so very much Ray, you are too kind. Wow you have been taking photo's longer than my parents have been alive :-). IR is certainly interesting, I converted the camera myself, took quite a while to master it. But I held in there. Now have a new DSLR so been side tracked. Need to get into some more macro photography as well

Cool, thanks for that but not my style. I am a boring, old school strict photographer that doesn't get much into post processing after effects.

I like the balance of this composition Dan and the mono tones look great. Infra red certainly induces a sense of the dramatic into the work which in turn enhances the shot. I have never ever used IR and I am not a great one for experimentation these days but I am often in awe of those of you who do. I have been involved with photography from as long ago as 55 years, so I guess that in my teens, twenties and thirties I did my share of the less than usual. Love your work Dan, keep it up. Very best wishes....Ray

Actually ... Per the attached ... If you don't mind ... Let's make this piece a bit more dreamy with reinduced IR and a glow about both of them ...
What do you think?

Aloha Dan,
The image is very descent in itself but I must say that I would like it much better without the two humans even though most likely great friends of yours if you know what I mean, so we can get lost in it's peaceful B&W tranquility.
Thanks you so much for sharing!
