Tender blue. This photo, transmite me peaceful. With a lot of effort, just close my eyes, and the flower's smell invade my room. Change the name of the flowers...and the fantastic image, remains. With the same smell also!.
...but I know this woman... And I remember the situation, that the picture was be taken. Believe me. Evil. No another word. EVIL. Even if it disturbes you.
If me don't wrong...Usefilm is a PHOTO web site...no a gramatical o semantical site. If you take a little trip around,over...and inside my portfolio,You can see the hard and strong impact of my images (85% covers in prestigious magazines and books, first and second prizes...and all my life). Who's need titles??
Cheers. Gustavo.

I'm glad you liked my "Intimate Rose," Diana; I love your "Tender Blue" too! You obviously have the ability and talent to draw lots of viewers to your photos. I don't seem to rank quite so well in that regard. Nonetheless, I love this photo, and the general character of everything in your portfolio.

You have captured the softness of the blossoms perfectly. I particularly like the softness of the colors and muted color scheme you have used here. A lovely presentation, beautifully executed.

Diana,
I came because of your comment and your last name - good Dutch last name!! I live in the US but am primarily Dutch and have strong Dutch roots.
I have to laugh because this was my favorite photo when I ran through your portfolio - so I open it up and I see James McKenna's comments.
So hello - to you!!
I like this image because it is so basic - it is about the flower - the simplicity and the color and the wonderful flowing curves of its lines. Good work...

diana, your flowers are all beautiful, though i like this the best because you have pared away most of what does not matter from the picture. have you looked at mary bell's flower pictures? she has gone a long way into the beauty of flowers by paring way even more and revealing the bare elements of that beauty. in some cases, these pictures don't even look like flowers, but they are quite beautiful nonetheless. in my own work (nudes) i took a similar path to create the white women series, which reduce the body to a few subtle lines. abstraction isn't always the best representation of a subject, but it is always a good study for the artist. keep up the good work. j
