About A challenging shot in a low light, no flash situation where our "Star" of the dance recital brings it to a close! Slow shutter speed necessitated by the lighting which allowed some motion blur to accentuate the remaining action.

A great low light action shot my dear Doyle and the blur is essential in this instance. Lovely tones my friend given the awkwardness of the shoot. Well done to you.
I am just back into UF today with a lot of catching up to do, I will probably post next week some time. A lot of 'Ian' things took ages to sort out. My very best wishes to you and Marnie as always......Ray

Yes I can see what you mean, probably better left as is, as the three dead center in the frame my not be appealing.

I have been doing good, I have not been getting a ton of shooting in, but when I do I try to make the best of my time, which means i get nothing done period! Hope all is well!

Hey Marcus! Actually, I'll have to edit...this was, I'm sure, the older D50 which does seem to handle the higher ISO better. I DID think about that right side but then worried about the centrality. I already cropped the left side where there was half of yet another dancer...

Overall...I liked the effect but her dress stopped first in the motion department and, hence, came out with more focal clarity. I would have preferred her lil head to freeze (yeah...good luck with THAT)...but just thought it was a good one for a fun shot. How've you been?

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Very nice Doyle, I can see what you were shooting for here and It looks great, I am amazed at the lack of noise at ISO 1100 as I know the D200 Is not the best at handling it.

Did you think about cropping out the girl on the right? I only as as half of her is cropped off and she is very static, which does not do a lot to show any motion...

Great work..
Marcus
