It attracted my attention because of its different coloring with rather "muddy" tones, Alicia. The full size image was captivating for that. A very consistent color palette and quite a "washed out" look seem to enhance the sense of fragility here. As a macro it would need a deeper DoF in order to at least get all central poles in focus, but the lowe contrast of the image provides a softer look in which the details are less important. Good geometry of composition too. An unusual, diffuse kind of view of such a subject, but very interesting in its own way.
