The term Flat Top has been used to describe these fantastic ships since they became a reality in the 1920's. This photo gives an appropriate view as to the reason. I shot this with a very long lens as the ship entered the harbor. I used the camera self timer to trip the shutter while the camera was mounted on a tripod.
