As much as I enjoy the catch lights... it is the soft curls in the hair that makes this special.

Yes, Rob, those eyes are something else.
When she arrived at the studio and stepped out of her car, I was stunned at those amazing eyes.

Unfortunately, my Canon 17-85 IS lens just back from the shop and there is something weird with the focus, so many of our best shots are not any good.

I guess I'll just have to schedule ANOTHER shoot with her. Oh, darn. ;)

Something very, very alluring about this shot; I will go with her beautiful face and yes...those eyes :)

Just a week away from 53, Peter, and I'm smart enough to realize these young ladies are hot for my images. Phil and I were laughing about this all afternoon.

LOL - dream on Paul - it also happens when it's dark in studio.

The reason I bring it up is that there is a school of thought here in South Africa to set the modeling light at 100% to make it brighter in studio and to get the pupils more normal looking. I like them big cuz then I can also fool myself that I might have turned them on.

Having minored in Psychology in college, you bring up an interesting point, Peter, about the inherent boost in perceived attraction.

So, did her dialated pupils mean *I* was turning her on? LOL

Paul - I like the comp here. Very interesting point about large pupils - it is scientifically proved that the at the first sign of sexual attraction the pupil enlarges so when one looks at an image like this - one might not consciously note that the pupil is larger, but our brain has picked it up and therefore the image looks better already.

Thank you for your feedback, Rashed.
I was constrained by two factors:
-Keeping her eyes at the upper-third line
-Fitting this image within an 8x10" crop

I do understand what you're saying, though.

Ok Paul, everything here sound well done, specially the light and the skin tone.

It would have shown more strength composition wise the keeping a little more of the head hair, that would balanced the overall appearance of this lovely model portrait.

Other wise bravo for a wonderful work and regards from my side.
