You are right Susie, it IS Victorian etched glass. Next time I'm in London I shall follow your excellent suggestion here!

Thanks so much for your comment - I dig your accomplished portfolio.

Great tones against that brilliant pop of red Anthony .. I love this shot.. I think it would also be great to shoot those windows against the light from the inside out .. it looks like etched glass which I love!

Thanks Stan, for these and the rest of your comments on my "Red desaturateds" LOL. As I said to Jon about his, I find comments like yours enormously helpful and welcome. Far better to take time and trouble to say more that two or three words!

Best regards,

Anthony

This has some very clean detail and lines through out the structure and then the wrap around feel of the road. Well seen and great post work. Exposure on the building is great. The details are everywhere. Great shot..
Be well, Stan

You are spot-on Jon, regarding this quiet back-street. This pub is a favourite with the West End theatre crowd. Many thanks for your penetrating, informed critique! It's critiques like your that I value the most.

Regards,

Anthony

Excellent use of selective desaturation. Lots of character and mood and no excess clutter or distracting elements. I like the fact that the curving roadway behind the mailbox creates the sense the background surrounds it. I get the feeling of a quiet nook or backwater off the busy streets. This is really well shot.

Cheers,

Jon
