There is no doubt that you have a beautiful daughter! I wonder if the background could be blurred more if your daughter stands farther away from the white wall. But then that may exceed the confine of the room.

Wonderful portrait. I don't usually like soft focus, but here it really works. Maybe because it goes with the soft colours. Anyway, I love it!

Thanks all for the comments! I was wondering about the softening -- if it was overdone or not. The effect is one of those you either really like or you really hate... :-) BTW, this effect was requested by the model herself. Either way, it's interesting to see the varied responses!

I think this would have been a wonderful portrait without the PS effects. The lighting is OK, the expression is perfect with her looking to the side like that. Could you post the original unadjusted photo, at least as an attachment?

The softening is way too strong. I think it would be stronger if the top of her head wasn't cropped off.

I really like how it's kinda blurred I can't remember what it's called but that effect is really awesome it goes well with her.
