About	There are a few, very few, Cub hats in the world that I have sent out. Those I have mailed, were owned by me... some even worn by me. Then there is the One and True Jimmy hat. I have owned and shared many Cub hats... there is only One that is still in my possession for years uninterrupted. I wore that One hat to the fireworks the other night. I also wore it to the Peoria Chiefs game a few weeks ago. A man tapped me on the shoulder and when I turned to him he said, "Nice hat." I nodded, "Thanks." I was wearing this hat in Chicago last year when a young fella looked up and said, "You have been a fan for a long time, yes?" Yes... I have. I do not know what will become of my one true hat after I pass on... but there is no doubt I will leave behind a symbol of my undying loyalty.

Ya know, I do believe I will leave it to Eli when I pass on. Nathan (middle child) has his own Cub hat in progress. Mike (oldest boy) has no interest in sports and will just toss it in/on the dump/bin/tip. Eli will take it and sell it. I like that attitude. Eli gets the battered and bruised Cub hat...
