About An onion (obviously) on my cam bag. I'm going to take more interest in still-life, but this was a casual, very quick experiment with my new camera.

This was hand-held 1 sec - I just wanted to see what was possible in 2 minutes. Next time, VR OFF, tripod, long exposure, low ISO - care and attention!

It's OK, the Klingons are part of the United Federation of Planets now, there's nothing to worry about (my wife thinks I'm nuts watching this)

My thanks Malules. I can't wait to do this sort of still-life properly - with time and care.

Warmest as always,

Anthony

So these will benefit from your new camera.
The picture is beautiful, but above all is the eye of the photographer who managed to say much with so little. Congratulations

Dave, when I was in Madrid last year, I saw this incredible still-life painting. Here's a detail, which sent me reeling. I hope you can see why...

welcome back Dave! I thought you had been ransomed in Thailand...

My D70 was getting old...

OK, it's all marketing (I think). Ah well, great to see you back!

Under the conditions you've described it turned out very well, Anthony! It looks like the onion is floating in mid-air!
Congrats on the new camera, too.
Dave.
