Still the combination is very interesting, Gustavo! This is, I think, one very fruitful field in the range of the flat images... Imagine, imagine now, faces of celebrities as byzantine icons? Wouldn't that display the insanity of both things? Would't that perform the visual dedication to the camouflaged monstrosity of both a "celebrity" and "religious glory"? In some certain sense I see similarities between the two things, or do I see it too extrem again?
Gustavo, I think that this could be the start of a deadly ironical triptychon. Suppose Eva corresponds to santa maria... Who would be "God"? Perhaps Bush Junior? And who would be Jesus? Perhaps Obama? And what is all that? Isn't it a parody of the "holy liturgy" the way it rfeveals it's demonic nature? Add a cross upside down and here you go. Not even Black Sabbath could have pointed it out better.

Muy interesantes tus observaciones, como siempre doctas y profundas!, Te cuento que intenté enfatizar más las texturas de los trazos de pincel pero le restaban fuerza el retrato mismo que ya de por sí mismo, es bastante tenue, pero puedo seguir intentando!...:-)

The color palette and the forms are nice, Gustavo, but I wonder if a stronger match of the forms with the anagöyph of her face couldn't be better. Anyway, you introduced also a somewhat byzantine look with these colors, similar to what we see on icons of that epoch. And in this sense I find it also humorous since it is much like making ironic fun out of both monsters - Eva Peron herself and also the orthodox church. Well done.

No, no, el original no tiene iluminación que el rojo se lo da, especialmente en el lado superior, dando impresión de que el perssonage se eleva(físicamente o espiritualmente).
