This is a dead tree trunk in a very muddy lake (man made) with very little water left in it. The area is facing a severe drought for about 6 months now.

It looks to me like a very wide area of desert with just one element in the center of the photo, picking up all the attention ("and glory" !;).
Great composition, and I like the sepia tones you added to it. Very artistic!
