yeah its pretty amazing isn't it...ice and steel deadly combat.. human error ice wins.. or more correctly nature wins... it always does.. I love Robert Hughes summation at the end of American Visions.. loosely quoted and probably in the wrong order..
"the world is so various so interconnected.. we are all a part of nature, a bad ungrateful part of it but part of it all the same, and yet there are some who say that nature is just another construct and that art doesn't need it.. well you can tell that one to the coyotes.. and an art that ignores that isnt going to inspire us or delight us for very long"
